Circulation (Borrowing Privileges for Print Books)

  • Students need to have a library account created at the library. Please bring your school ID as proof of registration.

  • Students can borrow a maximum of 4 books

  • Loan periods for borrowed books are 2 weeks. Please return items at the library.

  • Borrowed books can be renewed 2 times (unless there is a wait list for that book, then it needs to be returned)

  • Items listed as a “Course Reserve” in the library can be checked out for a period of 2 hours but must remain in the library (for library-use only). Course reserves are items an instructor has placed at the library temporarily for a particular course and are material intended to supplement required course textbooks.

  • There are no library fines or late fees, but a list of overdue delinquent accounts will be submitted to the Nursing Dean at the end of the term for disciplinary action.

  • Students will receive 3 email notifications when library items are overdue. After the third notification, the overdue delinquent accounts list will be sent to the Nursing Dean.

  • Students who fail to return (or lose) borrowed library material will be required to either pay the cost of that item or replace it with an item in good condition.
