Welcome to Mercy's Library Media Center
Mercy’s Library Media Center is a multi-faceted learning hub of the school. It offers a quiet environment for homework and group study, a Collaborative Corner and a Project Based Learning room. It serves as a resource center for research and provides instruction on information skills. A wide variety of print and electronic resources support Mercy’s college preparatory curriculum and offer a selection of books for pleasure reading. Electronic resources include eBooks, digital subscriptions and a full complement of databases that create a virtual library accessible both in and out of school. Instruction focuses on developing 21st Century information skills.
On warm days students can enjoy their study time in the Courtyard adjacent to the Library Media Center. Winter days students cozy up in front of the fireplace to read or prepare for class.
The Library Media Center staff, Mrs. Kreucher and Mrs. Waineo, are both state certified staff librarians who bring a diverse background of previous employment in the business world with them to the Library Media Center. The Library Media Center staff is complimented by Mr. James, Mercy’s IT Director, and Mr. Janusch, Mercy's Technology Integration Specialist.
