Begin your research at the CC Library's homepage, here you can search for books and online resources. If you are using the website from home to find online resources the password is shamrock. Our ebooks are a great online tool for your research, as most of them are encyclopedia sets you can't download them but they will allow you to access the necessary chapters or sections based on your search terms. This video tutorial will walk you through how to locate both print and online resources available within the CC Library.
If you are unable to locate a print source in the CC Library, and your teacher approves, there are a couple of sources that you can use to download ebooks for free. The CC Library, in partnership with the Novi Library, offers Sora and the Michigan eLibrary has its eBook High School Collection. This tutorial will explain how to obtain a book from this site.
For those of you who need to research a poem and poet, there are two great databases for you to use. The first, available through CC is the Gale Literature Research Center and secondly is the Poetry and Short Story Reference Center from the Michigan eLibrary. This tutorial will show you how each can be used for this assignment. We also have a lot of ebooks about poetry, so don't forget to include these in your search too!
